As the entry point to the ski resort (41 ski lifts, 155km of ski pistes), with snow sport schools, a natural ice skating rink, innumerable winter rambling paths, trips for ski hikers, night skiing, toboggan runs and concerts we hope to meet all your expectations.

RECOMMENDED RAMBLING ROUTES
1. Ice rink – Oberwiti – School – Wiesenwägli – ice rink (1 hr)
Stroll along the snow ploughed path that leads through the woods. When you reach Oberwiti cross over the ski piste, the path then leads to the school. From there, you walk around the edge of the village along Wiesenwägli until you reach the starting point of the walk.
2. Post office – Salez – Mittelberg – Parpan (1.5 hrs)
The path runs by the evangelical church. Take a left at the first fork in the road, until you reach the edge of the woods. At the signpost take the direction of Salez on the Mittelberg. From there it is a comfortable walk to Parpan. Route extension: From Mittelberg Meni – Tschuggen – Parpan. The bus returns you to Churwalden from Parpan.
3. Bus stop – Büel – Foppa – Joch-Foppa – Oberberg - Tschuggen – Parpan or from the Oberberg go via Mittelberg – Meni – Salez after Churwalden.
Part of this route, Büel – Foppa and Oberberg – Joch is not always cleared. It is recommended that you inquire prior to setting out Tel. 0041 81 382 12 38. Sledges can be hired at the Restaurant Tschuggen for the journey to Parpan.
4. Alp Stätz chairlift – Valbella – Churwalden (3.5 hrs)
With the chairlift you will reach Wasserböden. A winter rambling path that runs alongside the ski piste leads to Alp Stätz. After some refreshments in the mountain restaurant, the route takes you through Sartons to Valbella. The bus brings you back to Churwalden from Valbella.
